I’ll be the first in my family members to make an university level, and that’s something I hold very near to my heart.
My family members and I relocated to the USA in 2014 We picked Memphis as our second home to begin fresh and construct a better future.
When I finished high school in 2020, I decided to join the Military Book so I can work permanent to aid sustain my family financially. Along the road, my parents constantly reminded me of the importance of an university degree. Honestly, I dealt with the choice between selecting work over school.
That changed when I found the University of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I could make my level 100 % online from an accredited, nationally identified Carnegie R 1 university. The versatility of the program made it feasible to balance job, life, and education and learning. As soon as I signed up, I understood I made the appropriate option.
As an online pupil, I stayed involved with school life with career fairs and signing up with trainee organizations like the Society of Personnel Administration. I intended to get the most out of my college experience and connect with people that shared my enthusiasm for human resources.
Last November, I deployed to Kuwait, with a month left of fall term. Thanks to the support and structure of UofM Global, I was able to end up strong, even making the Dean’s Listing. I’m taking four courses while serving on active service, and I’m honored to claim I’ll be finishing in May.
Being able to offer my country, sustain my household, and gain my level suggests the world to me. I really feel prepared to take on whatever follows.
